The book is obscure. The one thing this book tells you is this. That it is obscure.Nothing makes sense practically.
The story starts in a very confusing way and in the entire story, there are confusing "time-and-space-and-scene" jumps.
There is this schoolgirl who wants to marry a guy. She is serious, that guy, a schoolguy is serious, the girl's mother is serious.
Really? It's hilarious? She wants to get married and everyone is serious about it? How could this funny topic be portrayed in such a serious way?
The narration is really poor and so is the description of every scene. The characters look fake.
The entire atmosphere in the story looks fake.
The title of the book itself is very bad and unattractive. And Dancing With Darwin? Why???
The only reason I bought this book was it's cover and immediately regretted my decision after reading the first page as I remembered the age-old saying--never judge a book by its cover.
The story might be good but what is the use if the reader is forced to shut the book close after reading a couple of pages? The execution of the story is really poor.
I think the writer should practice his craft.

Well, they're "back" for me, since I read this story and Heading Home out of their publishing sequence. Luckily though, it didn't seem to matter I had no trouble following the storylines even though I read them out of order. These stories compliment each other, revolving around a central apocalyptic theme, with TV anchors (I assume) Bob and Monica "narrating" the stories for us.
In Rapture Ready, a young woman named Claire is out taking a walk, when she suddenly realizes that the world is going insane around her. Strangers, neighbors, and everyone else all go crazy at the same time, inflicting harm on themselves and each other. Flash forward a year, and Claire is a completely changed person, trying to cope with the aftermath of a population gone mad. There are worse things out there than just the crazies, though, and Claire is determined not to fall prey to them.
This is yet another recommended story by Mr. Northern!
